Injection Mold Trial Process: T1, T2 and Production Approval

A mold trial is not only about producing samples. It is a structured way to check filling, appearance, dimensions, assembly and process stability before production.

Injection mold trial T1 T2 and production approval

T1 trial

T1 is the first mold trial after tooling is assembled. The team checks whether the mold can fill, eject and cool the part properly. T1 samples are reviewed for sink marks, flash, weld lines, short shots, warpage, dimensions and assembly fit.

T2 correction

If T1 shows issues, the mold may need correction. T2 verifies whether changes to gate, venting, ejector, cooling, parting surface or dimensions solved the problem. Clear records make this process faster.

Pilot production

Pilot production tests repeatability with more parts. It helps confirm whether the process window can support stable quality, not only one good sample.

Production approval

Approval should include sample confirmation, key dimensions, appearance standards, material, process parameters, packaging and inspection plan. Huanze connects trial feedback with production control.
