RFQ Confidentiality

NDA and Drawing Protection for Injection Mold RFQ

Buyers often need to share 3D files before a supplier can quote accurately. A practical NDA and file-control process helps protect product information while still allowing real DFM review.

NDA drawing protection for injection mold RFQ

1. Define what the NDA actually covers

An NDA should cover drawings, 3D models, samples, product photos, target costs, production volumes, customer names and technical discussions. For injection mold projects, the NDA should also cover DFM suggestions, mold design concepts, process notes and inspection plans created during the quotation stage.

2. Share enough files for a real mold quote

A supplier cannot evaluate tooling risk from a blurred photo alone. Buyers can use staged disclosure: first share product photos and key dimensions, then share STEP, X_T, IGS or 2D drawings after NDA confirmation. Huanze recommends marking drawing revisions and avoiding mixed outdated files.

3. Ask for quote logic, not only a price

A responsible mold quote should explain material assumption, cavity count, mold steel, slider or lifter needs, surface finish, trial plan, lead time and known risks. This gives buyers useful engineering value without exposing the product beyond the agreed RFQ scope.

4. Watch how the supplier handles confidential details

Good suppliers do not publish customer drawings, product photos or project names without permission. They can still provide anonymized case studies that show capability while protecting the buyer's product identity.

5. Send a protected RFQ to Huanze

Huanze supports NDA-friendly RFQ review, DFM discussion, plastic injection mold quotation and custom injection molding production for overseas buyers. Contact Annie by WhatsApp, WeChat or phone at +86 15801883001, or email annie@huanzekeji.com.
